It’s well known that leaders demand respect FROM others for themselves, but TRULY outstanding leaders also demand respect FOR others.
“There’s a few things in life and in conducting business that I feel strongly about and one thing is never speaking down to others. You can learn from anyone in this world, whether you’re the CEO or you’re the janitor, each person in this world brings unique talents and traits. I’ve been blessed to be surrounded by individuals who have made me stronger and more motivated everyday. So the next time you see someone with me, regardless of position, show them the same respect.”
You would be amazed at how often this point of protocol is overlooked during networking. As someone who is often in the company of senior executives, I appreciate the sentiment.
