The Toyota Effect

Inefficient processes can negatively impact all aspects of life:  business, health, finances, education, etc.  Our lives are built around processes that either work for us or against us.  Here are three videos which show how process improvement can positively impact businesses and personal lives.

Oscar-nominated filmmaker Steve James visits Chicago-based ACE Metal Crafts, an innovative, unusually close-knit company that’s gotten a competitive kick out of its collaboration with Toyota — proving that even in the era of offshoring, American manufacturers can not only thrive but grow.

Oscar winner Ross Kauffman nimbly portrays the mission-driven volunteers at St. Bernard Project (SBP) and Toyota and how their partnership made an elderly resident’s ravaged family home whole again.

Oscar-nominated director Kief Davidson visits the busy eye clinic at Harbor-UCLA hospital, where patients were going blind waiting for medical services. He takes a look at the results of the hospital’s partnership with Toyota, quite literally through the failing eyes of Liseth, a diabetic patient hoping for a positive outcome.
